The goal of Blackjack is to beat the Dealer.
- You win if your hand has a higher value than the Dealer's without going Bust, or if the Dealer Busts but you don’t.
- You lose if you go Bust, even if the Dealer does too.
- Starting the Game
You are dealt two cards. The Dealer’s last card is dealt face-up for you to see. - Actions
- Hit: Ask the Dealer for another card. You can keep hitting until you Stand or go Bust.
- Stand: If you’re close to Busting, you can Stand to stop taking cards. The Dealer will play their hand next.
- Bust: If your hand’s value exceeds 21, it’s a Bust, and you lose automatically.
- Card Values
- Number cards (2–9): Face value.
- Tens, Jacks, Queens, Kings: Worth 10 points each.
- Aces: Worth 1 or 11, depending on what benefits your hand.
- Blackjack: An Ace + any 10-point card (e.g., King, Queen, Jack, or 10). This is the most powerful hand.
- Special Scenarios
- Push: If you and the Dealer have Blackjack, it’s a tie. Bets are returned.
- Doubling Down: Double your bet and take one more card before revealing your hand.
- Splitting: If your first two cards are a pair, you can split them into two hands.
Insurance: If the Dealer’s face-up card is an Ace, you can make a side bet that pays 2:1 if the Dealer has Blackjack.
